Signs of Healing

Prayer helps us to grow closer to Jesus, who longs to heal us. Healing can be a slow process that is difficult to see unfolding, so we must trust in God through this process, and embrace the opportunities and the signs that He provides us with. And, when we are whole, we mustn't turn back to our former ways, but utilize our freedom to fully love God and others.

The Healing Power of Jesus

We are not meant to find others to blame for our woundedness; we are called to seek healing through Jesus Christ.

Healing Through Redemptive Suffering

We are all wounded in one way or another. There is beauty in this though because Jesus suffered while he was on earth. When we feel the pangs of our suffering, we must embrace it and look to Jesus for our healing, in hope that something good will come out of it. 

Types of Woundedness

There are several types of wounds, formed in different ways, that impact our lives. We must sit at the feet of Christ and allow Him into our hearts to heal our wounds, regardless of their type. 

Allowing God to Heal Us

Having received the stain of original sin, we are prone to sin in our own lives. Our sinfulness leads to woundedness of our hearts and of others'. In our woundedness, we must run to the Lord, not to sin, and allow Him to heal us. 

Relying on God as He Sends Us Forth

Just as Jesus sent out his disciples, two by two, with nothing but the cloaks on their backs and the sandals on their feet, so we are sent out into the world. We are called to depend on each other and to rely on God for our every need, as we go forth on mission for the Kingdom of God. 

Resolutely Setting Out to Follow Jesus

We return to the Sundays in Ordinary Time and walking through Luke's Gospel.  

Jesus sets his face towards Jerusalem and challenges those who wish to follow Him.

True Repentance - a Gift from the Risen Lord

3rd Sunday Easter
