After moving into the neighborhood I found a busted up Crucifix in the garbage heap on the curb. Though the Cross has been cast off by many, this means we have a unique opportunity for the meaning of the Cross to strike fresh with the same power it did in the 1st Centuries of the Church. What if we Christians truly lived our lives modeled after what we see in Jesus? Wouldn't people run to embrace this Cross to find life?
